Generating backlinks for product review sites?

I’m new to the whole affiliate marketing and IM thing. Any tips? It’s hard to find relevant blogs with a decent PR for my niche that I can guest post on (or maybe I need to look harder).

Should I just look to buy a program and spin and submit articles?
Dougie, what you’re looking for is people who keep coming back to your website. What I’m looking for is people who just come for the review. I just need to be ranked higher on Google. noFollow links may be of some help to you, but they wouldn’t do me any good.

What are some good adsense alternatives?

After putting money into marketing my website and such, Google Adsense cancelled my account and all the payments that were coming to me (costing me money actually) and suggesting that there was something suspicious about the clicks or the site traffic. They don’t provide details or allow one to have time to dispute any such claims.

Anyway, I’d like some suggestions on good adsense alternatives. I’ve tried some but hopefully I can get feedback from persons who have used these services. One that I looked at was going to make me wait 60 days till I got my first payment. That is unreasonable and ridiculous in today’s information age.
I also don’t want to use a site that is notorious for cancelling accounts with no warning, because they think that the clicks or the traffic is not valid.

Also, if you can provide tips on affiliate marketing – I’ve signed up with two. One is clickbank. Do they have products that pay a certain amount monthly – which would mean a product would have to be a subscription service? Thee is also the site I found when I wanted to sell products for Barnes and Noble – they work with a company that handles affiliate programs.
Any other suggestions on affiliate marketing?
And adsense alterntives that don’t make one wait 60 days for the first check?
Thanks,
Bruce

Employer won't let me make websites as a hobby/freetime and now I got laid off?

I worked in a Web Development company where I help built websites, Internet Marketing (SEO, SEM, PPC, ecommerce, mailing list, etc).

Now, according to my contract/non-compete, it states I can’t work on a company doing the same thing nor do something similar. Well, this makes no sense to me since, for the past year I’ve been working on projects that constantly got can celled due to clients not paying on time and using outdated technologies. So, in terms of experience for work, I don’t got much of a portfolio to show. Now, here’s the worse part — the company don’t want me to make websites in my own free time as a hobby — basically, I can’t built my own web app or websites making money on the side (mailing list, selling things, affiliates, etc). To them, they’re afraid I’m copying their ideas — but isn’t that stupid since 90% of websites that money do the same thing??? How can you protect that? And if they somehow google my name and link me to a website I’ve built in my freetime, they were planning to acquire it and take legal action for it.

Ok, about two weeks ago, I got laid off due to budget cut…so now I can’t say how much I’ve accomplish at the company due to projects going downhill. And if prospective employers in an interview ask me if I enjoy making websites/programming or running one on my own as a hobby, I can’t show anything since my previous employer did not want me to make websites or money off it as a hobby.

How do I deal with this situation?

How do I deal with this situation?

what impact for yahoo by making this yahoo! answers? any conspiracy ? Mr. Jerry Yang & staff are invited.?

here’s some of my assumptions..

1. Brand Power.
For strengthen Yahoo brand. especially now there’s threat from Google. Community power.

2. Knowledge Sharing.
Yahoo answer as knowledge mining. since today knowledge is power.

3. Technology.
Yahoo is trying to make a logic for human’s question / language. which can be used later in AI, Expert system, Robot.

4. Business.
Yahoo is creating a program that can give individualized/personalized promotion/marketing based on all your Q&A’s. in the future there will be an personalized offer or banner from yahoo! shop or yahoo’s affiliate partner.

5. Information
Yahoo use it as statistic/demographic which they can use for their strategic plan or they can sell the info to other company. so they might have ‘hidden’ employee undercover by asking question which product/service you prefer.

6. Just 4 fun

before i’ve thought about to influence our mindset. but it’s impossible since there’re too many outher influencer (questioner and answerer).
i read from previous questions. for advertisement. or promotion in the featured question.

but anyway, thanks for creating this yahoo! answers. it’s cool ! i’m addicted into it.. there’re lots of people get helped…
